Highland Cow Workshop
Create a striking, expressive portrait of a highland cow rendered in a bold, contemporary glass art and join me on a bespoke fused glass workshop.
It's long, shaggy coat is reimagined as sweeping strands of vivid colour — blues, reds, yellows, oranges, and purples — giving the whole piece a sense of movement and personality, whilst its eyes peek out from behind the colourful fringe, giving it a gentle, almost curious presence. With the plain background, all attention stays on the cow’s vibrant, textured face, making the artwork feel both playful and captivating.
You will create this amazing piece of 40 x 30 glass art using fusing techniques, coloured glass, frits, and glass paints.

This is a reasonably complicated peice of glass art, and it is therefore suggested that you try my 'Fused Glass Taster Workshop' first, where I will teach the basics of fused glass; glass types; compatibility and tools; how to deign a simple fused glass piece; surface design techniques; glass cutting; and how to assemblie and apply pieces for firing.
