Host a talk - It's all about glass

Rachel started the journey into crafting and fused glass quite unexpectedly.   What started out as a hobby, and having had no former experience in this field, she has built The Glass Forge into a small successful local craft business, selling her creations in local shops, at craft events and online.  Rachel also delivers fused glass workshops at her home studio and at local venues in the area.

‘Host a talk’ has been designed  to share with others not only Rachel’s journey in the wonderful world of glass fusing, but to also provide a brief insight into the history of glass and the different types of glass processes.   Rachel will also talk about the fusing process and its design features. Most importantly, Rachel is keen to communicate just why she believes that glass is so wonderful and the benefits of having it as a hobby.  It will be clear from this talk that glass has not only become a passion of Rachel’s but that it has captured her heart as she had been  drawn by the lure and beauty of fused glass with its amazing colours, depth and sparkle.

Talk Attendees - the talks are designed for WI Groups, Fellowship & Friendship groups, Craft Groups, Schools or any groups interested in finding out more about fused glass.
