This beautiful little dish that is brightly coloured and is based on a mosaic design. This mosaic pattern is a surface decoration made by inlaying small pieces of various coloured transparent glass and placing the pieces randomly. This is then fused together in a kiln for 12 hours and then slumped for a further 12 hours into a dish formation. Mosiacs can be traced back to the Roman era and this is The Glass Forges take on a wonderful unique artform.
This little dish can be used as a trinket or small soap dish and it perfect for holding loose change or rings. Whatever its usage, this is a lovely decorative piece for your home.
